RADIOCARBON DATING / ANALYSIS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH
Developing innovative techniques and providing radiocarbon analytical support for UK and international collaborators for over fifty years
WIDE RANGE OF SAMPLE TYPES AND TECHNIQUES
From traditional materials such as carbonate and organic matter to hydrogen pyrolysis and custom sampling equipment for greenhouse gases
NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL ISOTOPE FACILITY (NEIF)
To apply for NERC-funded radiocarbon measurements please visit the National Environmental Isotope Facility website
Deadline for applications -5th October 2022
The Environmental Radiocarbon Laboratory at SUERC performs radiocarbon dating/analysis of a wide range of sample materials with an emphasis on Environmental and Earth science investigations. We provide collaborative and commercial radiocarbon analytical support for both UK and international users and have an “open-door” policy for all existing and potential users at all stages of research projects.
The environmental radiocarbon laboratory has operated since 1970 as the NERC Radiocarbon Laboratory and NERC Radiocarbon Facility (East Kilbride) and currently is host to the NERC National Environmental Isotope Facility (NEIF) Radiocarbon Laboratory. NERC-eligible researchers wishing to apply to use the NEIF Radiocarbon Facility should submit applications via the NEIF website.
Please contact the laboratory using the form below for collaborative or commercial enquiries.
